Buildings in New Jersey seem to get covered in grime and mildew faster than some other areas. The reason for this is because NJ, and especially central and south jersey are areas that are higher in humidity. Higher humidity means more moisture in the air...which means more mold and mildew. This doesn't mean you'll have a problem with your building...it just means you need a bit more maintenance to maintain your curb appeal, and the exterior surfaces.

If you own or manage a commercial building (office, retail, mall, healthcare, etc.) regular exterior maintenance is key to avoiding large restoration expenditures down the line. Rather do small stuff often, than BIG things later. A good exterior cleaning every couple of years will help maintain the façade, as well as help us find any other underlying issues that might be hiding on the façade and exterior envelope of your building.

For example, many times we'll be power washing a mid rise building 10 stories high, and we can inspect the window caulking and find areas that can become huge waterproofing issues. Recaulking the windows before water damage occurs will save you a lot of money today. Another thing we might discover are areas of brick or stucco that may need repair or repointing. All in all, regular basic maintenance today will keep your building in top shape for many years to come.
